For a Simple, Classic Base:
- Hard Ice Cream, Gelato & Rolled Ice Cream: Mix one 1.5 kg (3.3 lb) bag with 3.0 L (about 3¼ quarts) of water.
- Soft Serve: Mix one 1.5 kg (3.3 lb) bag with 3.5 L (about 3¾ quarts) of water.
For a Premium High-Fat Experience (Over 10% Dairy Fat):
- Step 1: Mix one bag (1.5 kg / 3.3 lb) of the mix with 2.3 L (about 2½ quarts) of whole milk.
- Step 2: Add 700 ml (about ¾ quart) of heavy cream and mix thoroughly.
- Step 3: Add your flavoring and, if desired, incorporate fruit purées, fresh fruit, chocolate, seeds, or other inclusions, mixing until fully dissolved and uniform.
- Step 4: Process the mixture according to your machine manufacturer’s instructions until a rich, high–milk-fat ice cream is obtained.
